Palazzo Torri

Between the morainic hills of Lake Iseo and the verdant vineyards of Franciacorta stands a majestic palace!

PALAZZO TORRI, a splendid seventeenth-century noble villa, renovated in the eighteenth century with Baroque furnishings and decorations to be a "villa of delight" and finally enriched and enlarged by the Towers at the end of the nineteenth century.

Paolina Calegari and Alessandro Torri built a CULTURAL CENACLE frequented by illustrious guests, where parties, meetings, debates and cultural initiatives took place. There are poets and writers such as Carducci and Fogazzaro, painters and sculptors such as Bezzi, Michetti, Salvetti, Venturi, Ramazzotti and Trentacoste, composers and musicians such as Chimeri, Adele Bignami and Luigi Mazzucchelli, men of church and state such as bishop Geremia Bonomelli and the minister Giuseppe Zanardelli and finally intellectuals, scientists and aristocrats of the most important families of Brescia. Paolina Calegari also had a salon in Munich, where she met the painters Franz von Lenbach and Ugo Freier von Haberman.

At the end of the twentieth century, after major restoration work that restored the ancient splendor of the villa's interiors, Palazzo Torri was opened to the public for guided tours and cultural initiatives, and made available the frescoed rooms for PRESTIGIOUS PRESTIGIOUS EVENTS: - WEDDING RECEPTIONS, gala dinners, corporate and social conferences, - CULTURAL INITIATIVES such as, concerts, exhibitions, literary and artistic events, - GUIDED TOURS.

The decorated rooms, the frescoed vaults, the antique furniture and the works of art keep the atmosphere of the past alive, offering guests charm and elegance. At Palazzo Torri it is also possible to organize a symbolic ceremony.

It is also possible to STAY all over the Palace or STAY in luxurious, comfortable and bright rooms, furnished with furniture from various eras, antique furnishings and embellished with coffered ceilings or decorations, immersed in the quiet and history.

In the garden of the villa you can admire majestic centuries-old plants such as the splendid Deodara cedars, and then look at the boundless countryside full of vineyards that surrounds this ancient dwelling.

Palazzo Torri is still today a center of cultural activities, thanks to the initiative of the Cortefranca Cultural Association.
