Born with his feets in Rome and his head in Rio, the Roma de Janeiro project moves the syncopated steps of Samba and brings them to the cobblestones of the Eternal City. An unespected mix of Brazilian musicality and Italian entertainment.
A story that began in the Roman district of San Lorenzo in 2013 where our "Roda de Samba" was staged, a typical expression of the tradition of Rio de Janeiro suburbs, which for years has been the gateway to the carnival. Today you can find all these feelings in a CD already live on the streamings platforms (see the videos on Spotify below).
The music that we play in our gigs with band or in reduced formation, is inspired by the tradition of samba, bossa nova and forrò, the most popular couple dance in Brazil, of course we don't forget our italian or international roots, always with “verde ouro” rythyms. A show that makes your day even more special and unforgettable.
Samba overcomes ethnic, religious, gender and sexual orientation barriers. Is considered "mestizo" music par excellence, because of the mixture of three continents and is the music that we love and would like to bring around to show his beauty to everyone, because everyone in his life needs a touch of Samba!"
