The farmhouse is located no more than 2,5 km from the medieval town of San Gimignano in the district of Siena. Is surrounded by 70 acres of vinyards and olive trees. It was erected in the 17th century at the bottom of the hill where is located the ancient Roman church “Pieve di Cellole” which inspired Giacomo Puccini to compose the opera “Suor Angelica”.
The farmhouse was restored with full respect to its centennial history and special care has been taken selecting antique furniture characteristic of the Tuscan tradition.
During the cold season breakfast is served in the hall where in past times the owner’s friends used to meet before the hunting. In good weather the guests may sit in the century-old garden enjoying the beautiful panorama of Tuscany’s rolling hills.
Each bedroom was individually designed. Most of them also have wonderful views over the surrounding hills. For romantics and for special occasions fresh flowers and wine may be arranged.
This luxury Bed and Breakfast is made up of 14 rooms (3 of those are Superior Rooms, very spacious and stylishly furnished with a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills) and 2 small apartments. Essentially, every room is furnished with: private bathroom, satellite tv, hairdryer, minibar and direct dial telephone. Internet Wi-Fi is free for our guests.
