The Abbey is a perfect place to organize a wedding in style, immersed in nature and history. This ancient Abbey was recognized as a Historic Residence by our Region and has been recently renovated bringing to light the splendour of the past, an aspect that makes it a suggestive and romantic location.
The lenchanting Abbey of SS QUIRICO E GIULITTA, in Micigliano, overlooks the Via Salaria and the Velino River. This Monastery , seems to be founded in the first half of the tenth Century by the Benedectins although, due to the loos of its archive, the news is limited and comes to the light only in the eleventh and twelfth centuries. The first certain evidence of its existence dates back to 984.
Of particular importance are also the external wall of the boundary wall to the North-Est, a piece of architectural decoration with hanging arches moved by brick cutouts (as in the bell tower of the Church of SANTA MARIA EXTRA MOENIA in Antrodoco), an a mullioned windows with polygonal column currently walled.
The Abbey enjoys very large outdoor and indoor spaces ideal for summer and winter wedding’s organization. The outdoor gardens will be perfect for setting up a sumptuous welcome opening, while the indoor halls can serve as a wedding banquet enjoyed by all your guests. The ancient deconsecrated Church can be a backdrop for your civil ceremony.
